I love this app. I’ve been a fan of Dr. Burns for decades and his work has helped me a lot, but this app is on another level. I understand it’s a chatbot but I feel more heard and understood than I ever have with a therapist. Thank you so much for creating this app.

I’ve used this app a couple of times now, and it was incredibly helpful both times. Like: life changing levels of helpful. I asked a client to use it during one of our sessions and in the middle of it she said, “This is like doing therapy!” I agree. I also like that it remembers strategies from CBT that I sometimes forget. It’s really amazing how helpful this app is.
I have used this app to save me from anxiety many times. And it has helped me tremendously. It was worth the money to feel better. Dr. Burns is amazing and his TEAM CBT really does work. I am proof. I was cynical about this app but I am a believer.

I came across the Feeling Great app, and I absolutely love it! I have found that you truly can change how you feel by changing how you think. This app has been a life-changer for me. The AI chatbot is fantastic at summarizing what I have shared while putting it into perspective with very helpful feedback. The AI chatbot does a phenomenal job at interactively getting me to think deeper and drill down on my negative thoughts, allowing me to provide more accurate responses than I would by just performing the techniques from The Feeling Good book alone.

I love that contact and any identifiable information is encrypted in the database, which is huge for me, especially given our current climate, where it seems like another data breach is reported in the news every day.

The first time I used this app I found myself crying in a restaurant because I felt so seen. The first module, where the app validates your feelings, was unreal. Bear in mind that I have been in weekly talk therapy for over 8 years and I still found this to be a powerful experience. I also recently saw that the app is available at low/no cost for anyone who can’t afford the full subscription price. I am a huge believer in making therapy and mental health resources available to all and this app makes that so much more possible. Thank you for what you are doing!
It’s so helpful to have this app handy whenever anxious or negative thoughts come on — using it for a few minutes whenever I feel down works wonders to improve my mood and help me shift to a more optimistic perspective. This process works — it just takes time and practice. This app helps me practice CBT anywhere, and I’m so thankful for it.

I came across this app after reading about the research behind it posted by Psychology Today. I’ve since been recommending it to my clients (as a licensed mental health therapist and clinical director) as homework between sessions and as an add-on to meet their goals. Only one suggestion has come to mind, which already might be in the works: having other voices to pick from for listening to the lessons that capture other cultural backgrounds. Regardless, a fantastic app!

I’m so grateful for this app. It has been so helpful for me to reframe my negative thoughts. I can’t afford therapy right now and this is by no means a replacement but it helps me to get out of head and really work through things. The chatbot is really responsive and well done!

This is my first time using the app as my daily mood log, and I was surprised at how well the chatbot could uncover some of my hidden feelings. I have worked with a TEAM therapist in the past and was pleasantly surprised to see it capture some of that underlying emotion.

I love this app and the AI is actually really good.
Latest version even better — it gets a step closer to a therapist experience and is better than working on your own because you get a kind of sounding board and feedback and navigation through techniques. I definitely had some feelings while interacting with it — more intense than I recall working the techniques on my own. At least once I felt like I would if I were actually talking to somebody, which is more intense than just journaling. It’s very good.
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and enjoyable this app is. I knew it would be good, but this exceeds my expectations. The chatbot feels like I’m interacting with David, Rhonda, etc. [from the Feeling Good podcast]

I have been using CBT since I was exposed to it in a post-graduate course. It is the one thing that has helped me the most in my personal journey and Dr. Burns’ work is amazing and so very helpful. I applauded the compassion he shows in sharing his vast knowledge with the world. The app is remarkably right on target as you progress through the activities. I’m not the biggest fan of AI, but I’ve been listening to the Feel Good podcast recently and thought I would give this a try. This AI interaction, especially the empathy at the beginning, really helps me think about my feels and feel heard. It’s also helped me realize that my experience isn’t that unique, which has a strangely comforting effect. I enjoy the tools to change my thoughts, some of which I already use, but now I see how important the empathy step is. Thank you for making so much of this free.

Anytime I feel down and have negative thoughts running circles in my mind, I use this app! The AI chat does an amazing job at empathizing and validating your feelings. It’s also amazing at positive reframing and guides you through the process of identifying and challenging negative thoughts. Anytime I need a mood boost, I use this app and it helps bring my negative feelings down. Any situation that is causing you distress, you can work through it using the many techniques. The lessons are also a great learning tool. Dr. Burns’s work has been life changing for me! I am grateful to now have an app that gives me a mood boost in minutes.
When I first got this app, I couldn’t believe how spot-on the AI is throughout the entire process. I’ve been studying Dr. Burns’ CBT stuff for years and trying to do it on myself all this time and it’s helped a TON, but this app put me on a different level. I have been able to crush negative thoughts in one treatment with this process.

I was fortunate enough to be one of the original beta testers for the app and knew the potential it had. I admittedly hadn’t tried the app since the AI implementation, so I was eager for the final release. When I saw that Externalization of Voices was a technique, I wondered how that could possibly work! The interactions are genius, and David Burns’ essence is ingrained in all the chatbot responses.
This app is really helping me challenge negative thoughts. It’s helping me, treat myself kinder and feel more positive.
I like the addition of the comments, like I’m forming a response, when the AI is working. It lets me know that the app is still working.

I am new to this chatbot but it seems extremely insightful. The language is meaningful and very well aligned to the feelings and thoughts, and also to reflecting empathetically on the challenges being shared. I have been doing CBT for a long time, and sometimes it can be challenging to break out notebooks and such. This is very convenient to use. I look forward to exploring it more.

I am skeptical about AI and worried I am putting trust into a thing and not a valued professional. I tried it anyway, and have seen the reason I feel certain emotions is because of what I value and care most about. Recognizing the good from the discomfort has helped me navigate past difficult emotions.
Easy to use resource to feeling better. While does not replace talking to a human, it is l thoughtfully programmed (impressively so!) and a nice tool when going to traditional therapy is not possible. Thank you!

I have been using this app since August, combined with listening to the podcast and reading the book. I think of this as a phenomenal workbook that has been extremely helpful. And with each update, it is getting better and better in terms of helping me use the various techniques to crush my distorted thoughts and feel better.
I was lucky enough to join the beta for this app so I have been using it for months. The AI is shockingly good at capturing your mental state and expressing empathy. Often it captures how I am feeling in better words than I can put together myself. It’s also great at walking you through various approaches to changing your thinking. This app states it is not a substitute for therapy but boy is it close! And it helps me stay on track when I can’t grab a pen and paper and do a mood log. It’s also great when a painful thought pops up in the middle of the night — I can use the app without waking my partner, and usually it helps me break free from the thought and get back to sleep. This app is really good and I hope more people find and benefit from it.

This app is very well thought-out and highlights the techniques used in TEAM CBT. It does a great job of getting to the core of your negative thoughts and feelings and allows you to challenge them. Seems very easy and too good to be true. I was very skeptical, but once I tried it, I couldn’t believe how well it worked.
